Count Rikkki de Riiik and Lady Merrry de la Grey ... The Naming of Cats

Image may contain: people sitting, table, cat and indoor

The Naming Of Cats by T. S. Eliot

The Naming of Cats is a difficult matter,
It isn't just one of your holiday games;
You may think at first I'm as mad as a hatter
When I tell you, a cat must have THREE DIFFERENT NAMES.
First of all, there's the name that the family use daily,
Such as Peter, Augustus, Alonzo or James,
Such as Victor or Jonathan, George or Bill Bailey--
All of them sensible everyday names.
There are fancier names if you think they sound sweeter,
Some for the gentlemen, some for the dames:
Such as Plato, Admetus, Electra, Demeter--
But all of them sensible everyday names.
But I tell you, a cat needs a name that's particular,
A name that's peculiar, and more dignified,
Else how can he keep up his tail perpendicular,
Or spread out his whiskers, or cherish his pride?
Of names of this kind, I can give you a quorum,
Such as Munkustrap, Quaxo, or Coricopat,
Such as Bombalurina, or else Jellylorum-
Names that never belong to more than one cat.
But above and beyond there's still one name left over,
And that is the name that you never will guess;
The name that no human research can discover--
But THE CAT HIMSELF KNOWS, and will never confess.
When you notice a cat in profound meditation,
The reason, I tell you, is always the same:
His mind is engaged in a rapt contemplation
Of the thought, of the thought, of the thought of his name:
His ineffable effable
Effanineffable
Deep and inscrutable singular Name.

Rikkki de Riiik by The Bard of Bat Yam, Poet Laureate of Zion

You've torn the daily paper into a million shreds,
And tested the comfort Of all the chairs, sofas and beds.
Chased a zillion types of balls,
All over the floor.
Hiss, spat and cat call.
At all the feral cats and the dog next door,
And proved yourself so brave and bold.
For a tiny kitty cat only eight months old.
You're now a ginger little fluffy ball
Curled up tight asleep on the expensive rug in the hall.

Cats are God's gifts to mankind...... seriously everyone should adopt a kittycat .... loyal, loving, low maintenance and wonderful for your blood pressure and stress levels......Became an Israeli Citizen today exactly 30 years ago. Arrived as a Skinnymeliks like Laurel Hardy by 30years in Zion ( and all that Jewish Cooking) would give OIliver Hardy a run for his money in the fattyboomboom stakes .

I am absolutely relentless,
in my love of all kittycats
like Pocahontas,
who possessed the spirit
of experimentation,
pushed her limits
to the very brink.
O yes, I think some
labeled me meshugah
like my big sis Lesleigh D
and daughter Kimberly-Mor,
and son Joey-Jonty,
in our love of feline feral or home raised
My affection could go on forever.
And when I am through,
which was hardly ever,
I  left 1000 reasons
in on my garden wall and path,
why I like I think I  The Bard of Bat Yam
Poet Laureate of Zion
has qualified to be finally called
A Catman or Catperson.
Either or ,but to me,
always to me,
I am just plain old Angel,
even if I tag and say so,
in League with A Gabrial
God's ( why should it be a woman)
Main wingperson (pun inteneded)
A member of the 82nd Airbourne Battalion
Of Jewish Catpeople
in the Middle East
and in particular in Zion..

Rikkki de Riiik And The Bard of Bat Yam, Poet Laureate of Zion

The Poet Laureate of Zion sat at his desk in his displace African kraal
and watched as his  ginger and white striped cat
once more came by to pay a call
upon his laptop computer he sat

The Bard of Bat Yam, studied him and his  green eyes
Rikkki De Riiik stared straight back at him
he had a very royal princely  guise
from the day he wandered with in with a 'snuggle me Steve'  chagrin

This sweet ball of fluff  amused the Zionist Muse  no end
for sat upon his desk: he refused to bow or curtsey
was a subject who would to '' I have works to complete ''  not bend
a paw raised gentle to his cheek in courtesy

He knew that cats and kings were one
of a very, very special kind
for when all was said and done
that's how they weredestined and  designed

The Bard and Laureate of Zion watched the cat and smiled again
as he majestically,on urgent state business papers  settled down
a cat that ruled with cuteness and cuddliness in his  domain
his best friend and the Maharajah of all  Bat Yam town
