If Reporty.com had not won the prestigious RAU Innovation Conference Best of 50 Startup Competition Award it would have been a gross injustice. A few hours after accepting the first prize , terrorist gunman dressed as the Blue Brothers in elegant Italian suites opened fire randomly with automatic weapons on couples, friends and families some with children in Max Brenner an upscale coffee franchise in the Sharona Complex in Tel Aviv directly across the road from the Kiriyah, the Defense Headquarters of the Israeli Defense Forces . Four Israelis died , 8 were wounded . Among the wounded were two Arabs hightechies  enjoying a night out with Jewish colleges.

Reporty, com  aims is for quicker, clearer and more accurate communication that does more than log a call. The time between calling for help in an emergency until help to arrives represents the most stressful and crucial moments in people’s lives. Reporty sets out to make a 911 call (100 call in Israel) , perhaps the most important call someone will ever make, more effective, more informative and farther reaching and most of all quicker cutting the call from 2 and a half minutes to less than 45 seconds before the the first emergency team is despatched. With the advent of other non-emergency city services hotlines people are demanding more than ever from their cities.

Public Safety institutions are on a perpetual quest to enhance their critical response to routine or emergency events that occur within their jurisdictions. Inefficiency in the relay of information directly from the field leads to increased response times, which in turn lead to higher expenditures and may even result in human casualties. To date, dispatch and command center systems do not provide a comprehensive solution with which a distressed individual can easily transmit what they are observing directly from the scene of an event, nor are they able to cope with large scale emergency events in which existing networks fail as a result of massive volume of traffic or infrastructure damage due to attack or other vulnerability. While first response agencies and public safety departments worldwide have made incredible advances in their efforts to ensure the safety of their citizens there are several hurdles that have yet to be overcome. The existing 911 systems (or regional equivalents) are suffering from overwhelming numbers of false reporting along with an unreliable locating system. These two factors represent the most significant drain on human and technological resources for an emergency response system. Millions of dollars are wasted every year by sending emergency personnel to falsely reported calls, not to mention, these calls divert limited resources from those who need them most. By reducing or even eliminating responses to falsely reported events, misappropriated resources can be put back on track. And that goes for financial resources as well.

Reporty.com  envision a safer world, one where the people are empowered to become active participants in their own safety.  Reporty is designed to be the global standard for event reporting. With the click of a button anyone can get the help they need-anywhere.

The Reporty.com  HLS platform is uniquely poised to enhance critical response to emergency events and to transform the way the public accesses police, fire, medical and rescue services in crisis situations as well as essential city services in non-emergency situations. Reporty adapts  the current system of critical event reporting by introducing a communications platform that is dynamically connected to command and control centers. Reporty real-time, mobile platform which is supported by an Indoor Positioning System enables immediate and live, video & audio reporting from the scene of hazards or emergencies, maximizing an accurate response by authorities, cutting down on response times and ultimately saving lives. The Reporty Social App takes the guesswork out of personal safety. . Reporty’s automatic chat notification is just one of many features that will make our users feel protected. Reporty support the most advanced communication with emergency dispatch centers and non-emergency hotlines and its  social app provides users with an added measure of control over their own safety. By connecting people to each other and automatically alerting family and friends to potential dangers, users will not only access help like never before but they will also know when they need to take action.
